Hi everyone. I've decided to use a different browser and
I want to uninstall IE 6 SP1. I tried going to
Settings/Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs.
After scrolling down and finding Internet Explorer 6 SP1,
I clicked Add/Remove but all I get is a new window that
wants me to choose between:
(1)Add a component
(2)Repair internet explorer
(3)Restore to previous windows configuration

I don't want to do any of these. Can anyone tell me how
to uninstall IE 6 SP1?

Thanks,

CV

You cannot, without third party removers (which I have never used and
cannot recommend).
The nearest is (3) but that takes you back to a previous version of
IE, which achieves nothing.
What is the problem in just not using it if you want another browser?

Security and disc space to mention two.

What version of Windows?
It can't be uninstalled from WinXP SP1.

Select 'restore to previous windows configuration'. That will remove IE6
SP1 and revert your system to whatever version of IE was running before you
updated.
